Billy의 미국 소식

쉼터에서 함께한 Billy가 가족과 행복한 일상을 보내고 있다는 반가운 소식입니다.

Billy는 Frank의 케이지 메이트였던 아이입니다. (아래에 있는 이전 입양 성공 이야기를 참고해 주세요.)

Billy는 ‘The Forgottens’라고 불리던 시츄 무리의 한 마리였습니다. 그 이름이 붙은 이유는 이 아이들이 KAPS에 너무 오랜 시간 머물러 있었기 때문입니다.

약 5년 반 전, 한 다정한 부부가 Billy를 약 1년 반 동안 임시 보호해 주었고 Billy는 그 덕분에 새로운 삶을 시작할 수 있었습니다.

Billy의 재미있는 성격이 점점 드러나기 시작했고, 체중도 회복하며 자신감도 되찾았습니다.

그 무렵 저는 이미 KAPS에서 또 다른 아름다운 시츄 Milo를 입양해 함께 지내고 있었습니다. Milo는 그보다 약 2년 전에 우리 가족이 된 아이였습니다.

하지만 Milo는 결국 세상을 떠났고, 시간이 조금 흐른 뒤 저는 새로운 친구를 찾기 위해 Rescue Korea를 살펴보기 시작했습니다.

그때 Billy를 임시 보호하고 있던 부부의 글을 보게 되었고, 대구 북쪽에서 Billy를 만나보기로 약속했습니다.

우리는 만나자마자 서로에게 마음이 끌렸습니다.

Billy(별명 Putter)는 이제 우리와 함께한 지 거의 4년이 되었습니다.

제가 이렇게 멋진 두 마리의 강아지를 만날 수 있었던 것은 KAPS 덕분이며, 정말 감사하게 생각합니다.

또한 저는 몇 년 전 KAPS에서 구조된 아주 멋진 비숑 프리제를 임시 보호하기도 했었는데, 그 아이 역시 완벽한 가족을 만나게 되었습니다.

Billy는 이제 나이가 많은 노견이 되었지만, 여전히 간식을 좋아하고 거의 어디든 저와 함께 다니는 것을 좋아합니다.

This is Billy, who was a cage-mate of Frank’s (see previous success story below). He was a part of a group of shih tzus called the Forgottens, because they’d been at KAPS so long. About 5 1/2 years ago, a sweet couple fostered Billy for about a year and a half, and gave him a new lease on life. His funny personality started to blossom and he regained some weight as well as confidence. Meanwhile, I had adopted another beautiful shih tzu from KAPS, Milo, about 2 years prior to that. Milo eventually passed away, and after some time, I went on Rescue Korea to find a new friend. I saw the couple’s post for Billy, and made plans to meet him, where he was with his fosters up in north Daegu. We met and clicked immediately. Billy (aka Putter) has been with us for almost 4 years. I’m grateful to KAPS for the two wonderful dogs I’ve had. I also fostered an incredible bichon frise from KAPS many years ago, who went on to find his perfect family.

Billy is elderly, but still loves treats and coming with me almost everywhere.

멀리서 전해진 Billy의 평온한 소식이 우리 모두에게 큰 기쁨이 됩니다. Billy가 지금처럼 사랑받으며 건강하고 행복하게 지내기를 바랍니다.
